The number of Minnesota acute care hospitals that provide onsite Computerized Tomography Scanning Services (CT Scans) by hospital staff increased from 95 in 2002 to 117 in 2008. The number of hospital CT Scans saw a 10 percent increase over the six-year period.

The number of acute care hospitals that provide onsite Nuclear Magnetic Resonance Imaging Services (MRI) by hospital staff was 58 in 2008. The number of MRIs performed at these hospitals increased 53 percent from 2002 to 2008.
