Hospital Emergency Incident Command System (HEICS)

This document describes the Hospital Emergency Incident Command System, or HEICS. The system is not an entire disaster plan, but rather the method by which a hospital will operate when an emergency is declared. A hospital's current disaster plan will need to be configured so that the Incident Command System becomes the "standard operating procedure" when the plan is activated: [DOC]
